Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmati were honoured with the prestigious 2024 Barça Players Award by the Agrupacio Barça Jugadors.
This recognition highlights their exceptional performances last season, both on the field and off, where they have set a strong example of the values that Barcelona hold dear.
The award ceremony, which celebrated their achievements, was attended by several notable figures from the Agrupacio, including Juan Manuel Asensi, Pere Valentí Mora, Rafael Zuviria, and Antonio Olmo.
Additionally, Joan Soler, the director responsible for youth football, and Xavi Puig, the head of Barça women’s football, were present to share in the celebrations.
Yamal’s remarkable year has seen him accumulate a series of accolades, with his recent win of the Kopa Trophy adding to his impressive list of achievements. This award names him as the best Under-23 player in Europe for 2024.
Yamal’s rise has been nothing short of extraordinary, shattering numerous records for being one of the youngest to achieve so much.
His performances have made him an essential player for Barcelona, which has emerged as one of the most formidable teams in Europe.
Despite his success, Yamal has remained grounded, always remembering his humble beginnings. His iconic 304 celebration after scoring goals is a tribute to those roots and a reminder of how far he has come.
The Agrupacio Barça Jugadors selected Yamal as the winner of the Barça Players Award following a vote in July. His growth as a player and his unwavering connection to his origins played a pivotal role in the decision.
This honour reflects not only his sporting talent but also his embodiment of the core principles that Barcelona represent. Yamal’s journey continues to inspire both his teammates and fans alike, making him a fitting recipient of this prestigious award.
