Hansi Flick’s troops got their campaign on the continent up and running earlier this evening, courtesy of a League Phase meeting with Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord.

The aforementioned Lamine featured from the off at the Spotify Camp Nou, and played a direct hand in three of the five goals ultimately netted by Barca in a 5-1 romp.

These contributions came in the form of a free-kick goal, alongside a pair of fine assists. And as since revealed by statisticians StatMuse, owing to as much, Lamine matched an achievement not managed in a single Champions League fixture since all the way back in 2016:

‘[Lamine is the] first player to score a free kick and assist multiple goals in a UCL game since: Neymar in 2016.’
