Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Sunday evening secured for himself yet more Spanish football history.
This comes owing to his exploits in Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Atlético Madrid.
Hansi Flick’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the Metropolitano for a crunch showdown with Atléti.
With 70 minutes on the clock, the Blaugrana found themselves in serious trouble, trailing by two goals to nil and en route to an altogether damaging defeat.
Lying in wait, though, was a comeback for the ages…
After Robert Lewandowski first pulled one back, substitute Ferran Torres nodded home to level things up a short time later.
It was then the turn of the aforementioned Lamine to complete the turnaround, the youngster’s long-distance strike having found its way into the far corner courtesy of a hefty deflection.
From here, Ferran then added his 2nd, to guide Barca back to the top of the La Liga table, with a game in hand.
As alluded to above, though, it was Lamine’s finish which gave rise to Spanish football history.
As revealed by StatMuse, the Catalans’ wing sensation has levelled Ansu Fati and Pablo Pombo as one of only three players to ever notch 11 La Liga goals before turning 18.
