Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has been named La Liga player of the season for the first time, succeeding team-mate Raphinha.
According to L'Équipe, the forward, still not yet 19, is the 2025-2026 winner and the youngest since the award began in 2008-2009, surpassing Jude Bellingham, who was just under 21 when honoured in 2023-2024.

Yamal produced 16 goals and 11 assists in 28 appearances this season.
For Spain he has 25 caps and six goals.
His form was central as Barcelona claimed their 29th La Liga title, the third league crown of his career in four years.
