Lamine Yamal took part in the opening segment of Spain training on Sunday during a public session, continuing his reconditioning for the World Cup.

The Barcelona winger was the most loudly cheered by the 2,000 supporters at La Ciudad del Futbol de Las Rozas, on the outskirts of Madrid, according to L'Équipe.

He sustained a thigh injury on 22 April while converting a penalty. The recent Ballon d'Or runner-up stepped away when his team-mates began ball work.

Nico Williams and Victor Muñoz, who have also had fitness issues in recent weeks, worked with the national team's physios.

Yamal later said he remembered fearing the setback might be serious, or that a minor problem could lead to a relapse and deny him a first World Cup.
