After the restart, Kristian Hlynsson headed in from close range (50.). The Supereagles hit back quickly as Jakob Breum finished Mathis Suray's cut-back (56.).

Lars Unnerstall underpinned the win with five saves, including early stops from Victor Edvardsen and Richonell Margaret.

Lammers settled it from the spot after he was fouled in the area, converting low to the bottom left (74.). There was also a second half injury that forced Sondre Ørjasæter off, with Marko Pjaca coming on.

FC Twente were clinical, scoring four times from five efforts on target. The Supereagles had 51.4% possession and produced 15 attempts, seven on target, but found a resilient defence in their way.

The Supereagles remain 12th. Next, FC Twente host Utrecht in the Eredivisie. The Supereagles welcome NAC Breda.
