Lanús claim first Recopa Sudamericana, full list of past champions

Lanús won their first Recopa Sudamericana, beating Flamengo 3-2 at the Maracanã on Thursday.
According to Globo.com, the title follows their 2025 Sudamericana success against Atlético-MG. CONMEBOL will pay 1.8 million dollars, about R$ 9.2 million, to Lanús, and 900 thousand dollars, about R$ 4.6 million, to runners-up Flamengo.
This was the 34th edition of the Recopa Sudamericana. It was played from 1989 to 1998, then has run uninterrupted since 2003.
Boca Juniors are the record holders with four titles. River Plate follow with three.
In all, 23 clubs have lifted the trophy, which pits the Libertadores winners against the Sudamericana holders.
