Monday marks the decisive stretch of the Barça presidential race, with pre-candidates set to lodge endorsements at the Auditori 1899. A potential anti-Laporta alliance involving Víctor Font, Xavier Vilajoana and Marc Ciria has gathered pace.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, two have cleared 2,337 signatures, two chased the cut-off late, and two others will also hand in their papers.

Six aspiring candidates have allotted slots. The four who campaigned, despite the official window being between six and 14 March, appear in alphabetical order, one hour apart. Ciria is first at 16:00, Vilajoana last at 20:00, with Daniel Juan and William Maddock in between.

Teams balanced collecting with talks over pacts. Laporta kept his own course, visiting Mollerussa in the morning and his Barcelona headquarters later, keen to display backing.

Only Font’s group acknowledged passing the bar, though collecting carried on into the night. He weighed enlisting Vilajoana and Ciria, conscious that a split anti-Laporta vote could spell defeat.

Ciria was reticent, believing he could advance alone, while Vilajoana was open to a common front. The three teams met in recent days, with Joan Camprubí mediating, to explore a deal linked to final tallies none would disclose before Monday.

Endorsements will then be verified by the Electoral Board, specialists and a notary. Completion is pencilled in for Wednesday, depending on the number of forms.
