Largie Ramazani kept his counsel on Valencia’s European prospects and his own future after a win that underlined the team’s upturn, leaving them seven clear of the drop.
The Belgian winger spoke briefly to the media at a Skoda sponsor event alongside Umar Sadiq. According to Superdeporte, he addressed the team’s situation and his standing in the squad.
Asked whether he would like to stay at Mestalla beyond his loan next season, he said he is in Valencia to work and that, for now, the focus is on winning matches and keeping supporters happy.
On talk of Europe next term, he initially offered little. When pressed on whether the dressing room had mentioned it, he gave an ambiguous response, saying it could go either way, while noting they have a good side and intend to keep improving.
He was also asked about Luis Rioja’s frustration at being substituted last weekend and whether the player had apologised. Ramazani said it is normal to be annoyed when withdrawn and described Rioja as a good team-mate.
