Two Turkish clubs interested in signing Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz have given up on landing him before the window closes in the country.
The Turkish left-back joined the Gers from Super Lig side Besiktas back in 2022 on a five-year deal and arrived as a top defensive prospect.
Since his arrival, however, Yilmaz has been in and out of the team due to continuous injury issues, with questions over his long term future.
Even though the majority of the winter transfer windows are closed now, Turkish clubs are still able to do their business until Tuesday and Yilmaz is on the radar of Turkish clubs.
According to Turkish daily Star though, Yilmaz is not willing to make a return to his homeland in the winter transfer window.
The likes of Galatasaray and Besiktas have been keen, but they are now having to give up on the idea of landing him now.
Yilmaz has been out due to a hamstring injury this season as well but after that, he has been a regular in Philippe Clement’s side.
His contract at Ibrox is valid until the summer of 2027 and it remains to be seen if the Turkish sides will swoop at the end of this term.
