It could be set to be a busy few weeks at Coventry City in what remains of the January transfer window.
The Sky Blues have been active in the market, bringing in defenders Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Josh Wilson-Esbrand on loan from Arsenal and Manchester City respectively, while Todd Kane has departed for Charlton Athletic and Martyn Waghorn has made the move to Huddersfield Town.
But Mark Robins is likely to want to add more reinforcements, which would be a welcome boost with his side currently on a run of one win in their last eight games in all competitions.
Robins’ men have dropped down to 15th in the Championship table, although they do remain just six points from the play-off places and they have also been knocked out of the FA Cup by non-league Wrexham.
There has been positive news off the pitch with the club’s takeover by Doug King ratified last week, which could enable Robins to strengthen.
Here is some of the latest transfer news from the Coventry Building Society Arena.
One of the best bits of business the Sky Blues could do this month is keeping hold of star striker Victor Gyokeres.
The 24-year-old has scored 12 goals so far this season and has attracted interest from a number of other clubs, with Coventry Live reporting that Championship leaders Burnley were keen on a move, while our exclusive last month revealed that Brentford, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers were all keeping tabs.
But Leeds are now unlikely to continue their pursuit of the Swede after the arrival of Georginio Rutter at Elland Road, according to Coventry Live.
It will come as a huge boost for Robins, who has insisted Gyokeres is not for sale, but there remains a number of other suitors.

Loanee returns
Forward Danny Cashman has returned to Coventry after his loan spell with League Two side Walsall was cut short.
Cashman made 10 appearances for the Saddlers, with most of those coming from the bench and he has not played since featuring in the FA Cup win over Carlisle United in November, frequently being left out of the squad since.
The 22-year-old could be handed first-team opportunities in Robins’ side with the likes of Callum O’Hare, Tyler Walker and Matt Godden all currently out injured, but Coventry Live report that Cashman is likely to be sent out on loan again.
One name who has been linked with a move to the Midlands this month is Swansea City forward Jamie Paterson.
The 31-year-old has made just 12 appearances for the Swans this season, with just four of those coming as starts and he has been left out of the squad for the previous four games.
Paterson could be allowed to leave South Wales and Robins seemed to confirm the Sky Blues’ interest, although said that no concrete offers have been made yet.
“There’s lots of interest in Pato,” Robins told Coventry Live.
“We’ll just have to wait and see really. There is a lot of interest, discussion and talks. Nothing concrete as of yet.”
