Filip Jorgensen has told Chelsea he wants to leave, and the club are probably going to let it happen if a suitable bid comes in.

Nizaar Kinsella of the BBC is reporting that Filip Jorgensen has asked to leave Chelsea because of a “lack of regular game time.”

Kinsella says that Jorgensen told the club’s head of global goalkeeping that he wants regular first team action, two years after signing from Villareal for £21m. Porto, Besiktas and Genoa have shown interest before – but none of them would be able to pay anything like the fee we did.

It may be a question of waiting to see if Premier League interest grows through the summer.

Jorgensen to leave without ever establishing himself as number one

The 24 year old has been in and out of the team in his two seasons at the club, but never established himself ahead of Robert Sanchez long term. This season was a disaster, with his big chance in the team coming against PSG where he made a horrible error.

Jorgensen then had a long period out of the team with a groin injury, before returning in the final week of the season following Sanchez’s concussion.
