There are moments across the football calendar when the inevitable occurs weekly, and it appears that Kylian Mbappé working his way onto the scoresheet is one of them.
Once again, the France and Real Madrid superstar has struck to lift Xabi Alonso's Los Blancos into the lead, with the Spanish giant labouring away from home against Deportivo Alavés.

And sometimes you need that moment of individual brilliance to kickstart something bigger, with Mbappé smashing home his effort into the top corner in the 24th minute after being picked out by Jude Bellingham.
With that, Mbappé bagged his 21st total goal contribution of the season, pulling him back level with Bayern and England ace Harry Kane, who scored from the spot earlier today to help the Bundesliga leaders to a disappointing draw against bottom-dwellers Mainz.
Though Man City's Erling Haaland is getting all the praise this season amid his goalscoring exploits for club and country, Mbappé continues to quietly prove that, perhaps, there's no one better.
