Laurin Ulrich 'to join' SC Paderborn on loan from VfB Stuttgart | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that an agreement was reached on Friday evening for 21-year-old Laurin Ulrich to join SC Paderborn on loan for the 2026-27 Bundesliga season. A medical with the newly promoted Bundesliga club is expected shortly.

The midfielder is viewed as a direct replacement for Mika Baur, who has signed for Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic.

Alongside the move, Ulrich is set to extend his VfB Stuttgart contract by one year, keeping him at the club until summer 2028.

Several clubs from the first and second divisions were interested in the player, who spent last season on loan at 1.FC Magdeburg.

Ulrich made one senior appearance for Stuttgart in 2022 and has featured 41 times for the club’s second team. In Baur’s absence, he ought to get regular Bundesliga minutes.
