Four from four! Inter were victorious on matchday four of the UCL league phase and kept pace with Bayern and Arsenal, both of whom also have perfect records. The Nerazzurri beat Kazakh side Kairat Almaty, who showed great determination and stayed in the game until the dying embers, in spite of the mountain of pressure put on them by the hosts.

Lautaro Martinez, our captain, scored again in the Champions League, opening the scoring late in the first half. The goal had been coming, following a prolonged period of pressure in the first half. The slim lead for Chivu's men did not deter Kairat, who were determined to entertain the large travelling support at San Siro. Then, the equaliser, as captain Arad headed home following a mix-up in the Inter penalty area.

The Nerazzurri re-upped the ante and, following a number of saves by Anarbekov, restored their lead in the 67th minute. Esposito's lay-off found Carlos Augusto, who leathered a low, driven effort into the bottom corner. So, Inter claimed all three points - a vital victory in their European campaign.
