Inter star Lautaro Martinez became the Nerazzurri’s best foreign scorer with a goal against Empoli on Wednesday, while his compatriot Tomas Palacios made his debut with the Serie A giants a few minutes later.
Inter secured a comfortable 3-0 win at Empoli on Wednesday, cementing the second placement in the Serie A table, four points below leaders Napoli.

Empoli defender Saba Goglichidze received a straight red card in the first half, and Italy international Davide Frattesi opened the account with a brace, his first in Serie A, after the break.
Lautaro Martinez made it three for the Nerazzurri at minute 79, becoming the club’s most prolific foreign scorer. The goal against Empoli was his 134th for Inter, one more than István Nyers.
Two minutes later, at minute 81, Lautaro’s compatriot Palacios made his first appearance for the defending Serie A champions.
The 21-year-old Argentinean centre-back replaced Stefan de Vrij.
