Lucas Paqueta is seriously considering suing the Football Association for their flawed investigation into spot fixing.
The Brazil international has been the subject of a 2-year long investigation by Footballs governing body, following reports of suspicious betting activity surrounding the player picking up yellow cards in a number of Premier League fixtures for West Ham.
It has become clear to many during the period that the FA were looking into the matter, that no hard evidence had been found on the player, with a report from the FA released yesterday showing that their position was built upon data and probability, rather than any real hard evidence.
Understandably and quite rightly, Paqueta was found innocent on the spot fixing allegations, with the player now still able to play for West Ham and he now looks forward to flourishing for the club with the weight of the case now lifted.
It is now understood that Paqueta and his team are seriously considering raising a lawsuit against the FA for their handling of the case, with the player denied a move to Manchester City because of the situation, having lost out on millions of pounds worth of earnings, missing out on trophy success and of course the toll its taken on him and his family.
West Ham will not pursue any lawsuit against the Football Association, with it deemed far too complex and not worth the fallout should the club press ahead.
