Flamengo winger Lázaro has revealed he feels much more at home on the left side of the Mengão’s attack as he continues to develop under manager Paulo Sousa.
Lázaro picked up an assist on Wednesday when the Rubo-Negro beat Botafogo 3-1 – extending the unbeaten run against their Rio de Janeiro rivals to four years.
“I’m always taking advantage of opportunities,” the 19-year-old told FlaTV. “Not just games, but also in training because I want to learn.”
“The left side is where I feel more relaxed to work, I have several options to take it to the right or left. On the right, I get a little crooked.
“The important thing is to work and take advantage of opportunities and respond well to them.”
Flamengo currently sit in second place in the Carioca Serie A, two points adrift of league leader Fluminese.
