Lazio’s display depicted a young man in a club shirt riding an eagle, the club’s symbol. A banner beneath read, “Come, Smile at us next door, firstborn of the sun.”

Inter’s choreography showed a Nerazzurri supporter gazing at the Coppa Italia symbol, with a message below, “We’ve been playing for our lives since 1969.”

The colourful scene delivered a dramatic backdrop as the showpiece got under way.
