Lazio are accelerating their midfield plans as Matteo Guendouzi moves closer to a January exit, pursuing Alex Tóth and Kenneth Taylor.
According to Alfredo Pedullà, contacts have intensified with Ferencváros for Tóth, the Hungary international born in 2005 who broke through at 17 and has impressed in domestic and European matches.
Ferencváros want around €10m and are reluctant to sell, while Lazio try to get ahead of Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
In parallel, they are working on Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor, viewed as the more immediate Guendouzi successor. Reports indicate the Roman club are close to a €15m agreement.
Talks continue as they seek a profile to fit Maurizio Sarri’s system quickly. With Guendouzi expected to bring in about €30m, the aim is to complete at least one signing in the coming days, with Taylor viewed as a concrete and achievable option for January.
