There are still numerous doubts surrounding the future of Lazio veteran Pedro as the summer transfer window ticks on.

The 36-year-old Spanish winger struggled to show his best in the 2023-24 season in Rome, managing just three goals and one assist in 1167 minutes of action across 45 matches, starting just once in the league in the second half of the campaign.

Pedro has often been linked with a move away from Lazio but things have fallen quiet in recent weeks and he’ll soon be part of Marco Baroni’s squad at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Pedro is planning to respect his contract with Lazio and complete his final season in the Italian capital, wanting to try and win a trophy with the club, but Claudio Lotito is hoping a buyer will emerge for the veteran.

The Biancocelesti President is ready to let the 36-year-old leave, but for now, he’s considered a part of Baroni’s squad.

He formerly played for Barcelona, Chelsea for five years, and city rivals Roma for just one season before joining Lazio in August 2021 on a Free Transfer.
