Fanatik reports that Lazio have made several proposals for Colombia and Al Nassr striker Jhon Duran, but his response has been far from positive.

The 22-year-old’s path has been unusual, moving from Aston Villa to Al Nassr for €77m, then taking loan spells at Fenerbahce and Zenit St Petersburg.

He remains under contract with the Saudi club until June 2030, so another loan is possible for Lazio.

Lazio confirmed today that former Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso is their new boss, and he is keen to revamp the squad inherited from Maurizio Sarri.

Duran has instead been repeatedly linked with a return to the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray.

A potential obstacle might be Lazio’s absence from European competition for a second successive season, leaving only Serie A and the Coppa Italia on their schedule.
