After securing a deal for Andrea Pinamonti, Lazio are reportedly trying to make another attacking addition to their squad by signing RB Leipzig forward Conrad Harder.

A host of top sources in the Italian press confirmed on Tuesday that the Biancocelesti have an agreement with Sassuolo for Pinamonti, who will become Gennaro Gattuso’s long-awaited centre-forward. Nevertheless, reports from France and Germany claim that the Italian capital side is also working on another front.

Lazio Propose Loan Move for Conrad Harder

According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, Lazio are trying to recruit Harder on loan with an option to buy. This has been the club’s go-to formula this summer, as evidenced by the signings of Davide Frattesi, Josip Sutalo, and Pinamonti, as the Aquile aren’t able to make large spending this summer after being restricted to a net-zero transfer market.

Leeds United Also Interested in Harder

The French source adds that Leeds United and Galatasaray are also keeping tabs on the Danish attacker, but have yet to make a move.

The news is also confirmed by Sky Sport Germany journalist Philipp Hinze, who added that Leipzig are willing to part ways with the unsettled 21-year-old, but his departure will depend on the type of offers they’ll receive between now and Monday’s transfer deadline.

Harder Career Path & RB Leipzig Stats

Harder is a versatile attacker who primarily plays as a striker, but can also feature on the wings. He developped his game at various academies in Denmark, including FC Nordsjaelland, before moving to Sporting Club in the summer of 2024 on a €19 million deal. A year later, he signed for Leipzig, who splashed €24 million for his services and tied him to a contract valid until June 2030.

However, the Danish forward couldn’t lock down a starting role. He made 33 appearances across all competitions last season, mostly coming off the bench, contributing with four goals and as many assists. With AC Milan striker Christopher Nkunku expected to rejoin the Bundesliga club, Harder risks falling further down the pecking order.
