Lazio are showing no signs of slowing down in the winter market, as the Biancocelesti are now making significant progress to secure Ferencváros talent Alex Tóth.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the 20-year-old Hungarian midfielder is inching closer to a move to the capital, with the deal described as moving at a rapid pace.
Notably, the distance between the two clubs is now considered minimal, as negotiations have accelerated over the last few hours. The financial details of the operation point toward a definitive transfer valued at approximately €15 million plus bonuses. Furthermore, the club’s hierarchy sees Tóth as a key investment for the future, capable of integrating into Maurizio Sarri’s midfield rotation immediately.
Indeed, the acceleration for the Hungarian youngster comes alongside the closing stages of the Kenneth Taylor deal, signaling a complete overhaul of the Lazio engine room following the departure of Matteo Guendouzi. The Roman side are hoping to conclude a move in the next few hours.
Consequently, with the gap between offer and demand nearly bridged, the deal is expected to reach a total “white smoke” shortly. Should the final bureaucratic hurdles be cleared as expected, Tóth could arrive in Rome in the coming days to undergo his medical tests at Paideia.
