After climbing his way up the ranks at the Bavarian club, Asp Jensen was loaned out to Grasshoppers last summer. His experience in Switzerland was a memorable one, as he established himself as a key player at the club, contributing with nine goals and six assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.

Lazio Open Talks With Asp Jensen

The Dane will return to Bayern this summer, as his contract remains valid until June 2028, but Lazio several sources in Denmark and Italy are claiming that Lazio are making concrete progress in their attempts to sign the youngster.

Danish portal Bold.dk was the first to break the story, revealing that the Biancocelesti have opened a dialogue with the player’s entourage, but warns the Italians about interest from English, French, and German clubs that are also tracking the rising midfielder. Lazio’s approach has also been reported by Il Messaggero, while reliable club insider Damiano Er Faina also confirmed the rumor

Where Would Asp Jensen Play in Gattuso’s Lazio

The right-footed Asp Jensen primarily plays as an attacking midfielder, but can also be deployed in a deeper role, or as an inverted left winger. If Gennaro Gattuso is planning to implement a 4-2-3-1 formation, the Dane would be able to play behind the striker, as the squad currently lacks a genuine No.10.

Transfermarkt estimates his value at €4 million, but it remains to be seen what will be Bayern Munich’s asking price.
