Lazio president Claudio Lotito released some statements during the event of “L’Aperitivo”, a format of the association La Giovane Roma held at Studio 26.
Among the various topics discussed he focused on his relationship with some legendary Romanisti such as Franco Sensi, Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi.
“A Roma fan I respect? I had a good relationship with Franco Sensi. At his funeral, the Roma fans applauded me. I have always had respect for other people’s ideas.”
“Currently, I have a good relationship with De Rossi and Totti. I respected them for their value, regardless of their football faith. They always had the courage to recognize our strength on the pitch when it was time, when Lazio won.”
“They always came to greet me, I will never forget that. I respect them as people, also because they made the history of Roma.”
“Let’s dispel any doubts: the fairy tale that I am a Roma fan was born from the fact that my father-in-law was co-owner of Roma with Sensi.”
“For this reason, every now and then, as a son-in-law, I went to see Roma matches. My father-in-law now comes to see all Lazio matches, he is a true Lazio fan, thanks also to my son Enrico.”
“The best derby win? On May 26, 2013, the Coppa Italia final. It was a huge satisfaction. For a week in Rome there was a curfew. I must say that Roma fans are very attached to their team. Lazio fans, on the other hand, have a much shorter memory. However, Lazio was born first, in 1900.”
