Lazio are considering the idea of making a summer transfer window move for Hellas Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.
The report details how the 29-year-old Italian shot stopper, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022, has remained a core part of Ivan Juric’s side this season, continuing his strong performances from last campaign.
His play has attracted the attention of the top clubs in Italy, with both Lazio and Roma currently exploring the idea of making a move for him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old Silvestri has made 14 appearances in Serie A so far this season, for a total of 1260 minutes. In that time, he has conceded 14 goals and helped the side keep four clean sheets.
Lazio are currently experiencing a slight goalkeeper issue, with former starter Thomas Strakosha now mostly relegated to the bench, with Spanish veteran Pepe Reina taking his place.
