Lazio coach Marco Baroni is expected to change almost half of his starting lineup for Tuesday’s Coppa Italia clash against Inter Milan.
The Nerazzurri will host the quarter-final clash at San Siro, while the Biancocelesti will travel to Milano without their influential striker Taty Castellanos who will be missing several weeks through injury. While Tijjani Noslin replaced the Argentine against Venezia, his disappointing showing during the dull stalemate will likely see him dropped from the lineup.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Loum Tchaouna has emerged as the unlikely favorite to lead the line. The young Frenchman is a right winger by trade, so it would be interesting to see how he’d cope as a centre-forward.
The source also expects Baroni to maintain the same supporting crow comprising Gustav Isaksen, Boulaye Dia and Mattia Zaccagni, while Noslin, Pedro and Arijon Ibrahimovic represent the alternative options.
Nicolo Rovella will link up with Matteo Guendouzi in the middle of the park after serving a one-match ban. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru will be out after twisting his ankle in Venice while Reda Belahyane could earn another cameo after making his Lazio debut off the bench in the weekend.
Moreover, Luca Pellegrini should make his first appearance after being omitted from the Serie A and Europa League squads. The left-back is at least eligible to play in the Coppa Italia, so he should replace Nuno Tavares. Manuel Lazzari should occupy the opposite flank, while Samuel Gigot links up with Mario Gila at the heart of the backline, thus allowing Alessio Romanoli some rest.
