Lazio ‘to consider’ Santiago Gimenez, Andrea Pinamonti and Roberto Piccoli after Franjo Ivanovic chooses Lens | OneFootball

Lazio have turned to alternative centre-forward options after Franjo Ivanovic opted for RC Lens despite a loan agreement with Benfica that included an option to buy.

Sky Sport Italia reports that the shortlist features Santiago Gimenez, Andrea Pinamonti and Roberto Piccoli.

Piccoli, 25, joined Fiorentina last year and is viewed as available, with the Viola considering him back-up to Moise Kean. The Atalanta academy graduate made 32 Serie A appearances last season, scoring four league goals, and is also on Bologna’s radar.

Pinamonti, 27, could be open to leaving Sassuolo, where he has played since 2022. The Inter youth product is into the final year of his deal, which might allow Lazio to move at a reduced fee. He was regarded as the principal alternative to Ivanovic, so developments could follow in the coming weeks.

After 18 difficult months at San Siro, Gimenez and AC Milan could split this summer following the arrival of Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain. The 25-year-old Mexico international has been described as a dream target for Gennaro Gattuso, but Lazio can only pursue an initial loan. Milan have not yet accepted a temporary formula.

Ivanovic, 22, chose Lens on Saturday, with the French club set for the Champions League this season. Lazio’s search is therefore expected to continue, with the three forwards under consideration as the market unfolds.
