Lazio ‘to pursue’ Dominguez, Jensen and Piccoli after €30m Gila agreement with AC Milan | OneFootball

Lazio are set to sell Mario Gila to AC Milan in a €30 million agreement, unlocking funds for reinforcements, and could move for Sergi Dominguez as his replacement.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Lazio have resumed talks with Dinamo Zagreb for the 21-year-old, while Alfredo Pedullà says the club will also push for 20-year-old Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jonathan Asp Jensen and are targeting Roberto Piccoli.

Lazio have operated to a net-zero transfer plan, so the Gila sale would permit spending on arrivals, although Real Madrid are due 50% of the profit through a sell-on clause.

Dominguez, a Barcelona academy product, impressed in his first season in Croatia as Dinamo won the domestic double. The Croatian champions want €12 million, a figure Lazio intend to reach via bonuses.

In attack, Lazio view Piccoli as the right profile to spearhead Gennaro Gattuso’s line-up, yet a loan hinges on Fiorentina’s position. Lazio are unlikely to afford an outright deal this summer after the Viola paid €25 million to sign him from Cagliari last year.
