Ruben Amorim began his reign at San Siro with back-to-back victories. On the opening day of the season, Milan earned an away win over Torino by two goals to one, and then beat Venezia by two unanswered goals in their first home fixture.

Last weekend, the Rossoneri were minutes away from registering another win in Turin thanks to their new wonderkid Alphadjo Cisse, but the home crowd at the Allianz Stadium breathed a sigh of relief in the 92nd minute, with Federico Gatti rescuing a draw for Juventus and consequently ending Milan’s perfect start. The Diavolo are now fifth in the Serie A table with seven points.

Lazio had the upper hand last season: The two teams met three times last term, and they all ended 1-0. If we compare the two teams ‘pound-for-pound’, Milan certainly have the advantage, but they haven’t truly flourished under Amorim, so a draw in front of a modest crowd at the Olimpico could be a satisfactory result for both sides.
