Lazio and Atalanta meet on Saturday in a dress rehearsal for their Coppa Italia semi-final header. Both still have league targets, with Lazio trailing in the race for Europe and a win over La Dea could revive their Top 6/7 hopes.

According to The Laziali, a combined XI has been selected across the two squads, factoring in current absences. The list sets out choices and brief rationales.

Goalkeeper Ivan Provedel edges Marco Carnesecchi, helped by 11 Serie A clean sheets this term. The back three features Mario Gila, Isak Hien ahead of Giorgio Scalvini, Berat Djimstiti and Honest Ahanor, and Alessio Romagnoli.

At wing-back, Davide Zappacosta takes the right flank despite being 33, still a menace on either foot, while Nicola Zalewski gets the nod on the left over Luca Pellegrini and Nuno Tavares. In midfield, Nicolo Rovella is preferred as the regista, with Ederson chosen as the box-to-box option.

On the right of the attack, Charles De Ketelaere may be sidelined for a while, yet he stays clear of Gustav Isaksen and Matteo Cancellieri. Through the middle, Giacomo Raspadori is selected, versatile enough to lead the line despite often operating off Gianluca Scamacca or Nikola Krstovic.

With Ademola Lookman no longer in Bergamo, Mattia Zaccagni rounds out the front line on the left. The selections underline subtle advantages for La Dea ahead of a timely examination of both squads.
