Le Club on Ligue 1+ outdraws Canal Football Club despite Michel Platini appearance | OneFootball

Le Club on Ligue 1+ beat Canal Football Club in Sunday’s ratings, despite a high-profile Michel Platini appearance, by more than 60,000 viewers.

According to L'Équipe, Canal Football Club averaged 95,000 viewers on Canal+ and 28,000 on Canal+ Foot.

The programme returned from a new studio in the Canal+ headquarters hall, hosted by Hervé Mathoux. Platini attended to inaugurate the studio that bears his name, coinciding with the broadcast of the second part of a documentary series about him.

Its new rival on free-to-air, Le Club on the Ligue 1+ platform, presented by Thibault Le Rol, averaged 185,000 viewers. The show preceded Monaco-OM, which finished 2-0.

With the Champions League returning next week, Canal+ can expect stronger audiences with its Canal Champions Club around its top fixtures.
