Foot Mercato understands that Le Havre AC has been sold to new owners. Recently, the club’s president, Jean-Michel Roussier, had evoked the potential sale of the Normand side.
As per Foot Mercato, there have been talks for some time regarding the sale of Le Havre. However, those talks have accelerated significantly in recent hours, to the point that a deal to sell the club has now been concluded. The deal comes just days ahead of Le Havre’s meeting with the DNCG, French football’s financial watchdog. The club must currently make up a deficit worth €15m.
Whilst the identity of the buyer is yet to be revealed, Foot Mercato refers to talks with Houston-based Blue Crow. Incidentally, HAC’s current owner, Vincent Volpe, splits his time between Le Havre and the Texan city. Those talks have been ongoing for several weeks. Blue Crow also own Léganès and Cancún FC, notably.
However, other investors have also recently signalled an interest in buying the club, renowned for their academy, and who recently secured their safety in Ligue 1 thanks to a last-gasp win over RC Strasbourg Alsace on the final day of the season.
