AC Milan might have to hurry if they are to press home the advantage they have gained in the Youssouf Fofana race as two of their rivals are now in the mix, a report claims.

Fofana has been in Milan ‘s sights for some time now, as virtually all of the major sources have reported. Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani have identified the Frenchman as the right reinforcement for the midfield, a profile capable of shielding the opponent’s attacks but also helping in build-up.

According to Le10Sport (via PianetaMilan), Juventus and Inter could get involved in the race for Fofana. The Bianconeri have already made enquiries before they went for Khephren Thuram, while for the Nerazzurri it is a new target.

In any case, Milan maintain a significant advantage also thanks to having already verbally agreed terms with the player, who is open to the move. An agreement with the Ligue 1 club is still missing, so the deal cannot be considered closed yet.

According to the latest from Sky, the Milan management have increased their offer to Monaco to €12m plus bonuses but the French side are continuing to ask for a figure of €18m in order to sell, despite the fact he has a year left on his deal.
