Alvaro Valles has been a player to watch over the course of the summer. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who is off the back of an outstanding individual 2023-24 season, has attracted significant interest in recent weeks, as he prepares to leave Las Palmas during the current transfer window.
Las Palmas are actively looking to sell Valles this summer, in order to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires in 2025. However, he’s already rejected contract proposals from Marseille and Villarreal, as his desire is to return to Real Betis.
Valles continues to stick to his guns, having now received an eye-watering offer from a clubs in Saudi Arabia. As per La Provincia (via ED), the three-year contract was worth a total of €10m (€3.3m per season), but he has not even entertained the possibility of accepting it.
Las Palmas were previously demanding €10m for Valles’ sale, but they are now prepared to accept €8m. Betis are still not particularly close to this amount, with their highest offer being for €5m. They could raise it later in the summer, but only in the event that Rui Silva were to be sold.
