Leao opens door to Milan exit as Fenerbahce ‘to open’ talks | OneFootball

Rafael Leao’s Milan future is unresolved after the 2026 World Cup, with Fenerbahce circling.

Mundo Deportivo reports the Istanbul club are ready to open official negotiations. A five-year contract worth a net eight million euros per season is on the table, with bonuses of one point five million euros for more than 20 appearances and 15 goals, plus a further one million euros if they win the domestic title.

Fenerbahce want a permanent 40 million euros deal, rising to 50 million with add-ons, or a loan with an obligation to buy. New president Aziz Yildirim is driving the move, targeting the Turkish title and direct Champions League entry after four straight runners-up to Galatasaray since 2014.

The spending has already started, with 40 million euros committed for Mason Greenwood, 18 million for Vedat Muriqi and around nine million for Nathan Ake. The left winger they seek is Leao.

If nothing is agreed in the coming days, he will join Milan’s camp in Perth next Wednesday to resume training. His contract runs until 2028 and he has been training alone at Corinthians’ headquarters in Brazil.

“I think it is a club that helped me a lot on every level, but in life a person has ambitions to take on other experiences. If the right opportunity appears, I will study the available options, but until this moment I am still a player in Milan’s ranks,” he said on Brazilian podcast Podpah.
