Rafael Leao is set to leave Milan for Istanbul, with the winger on the verge of joining Galatasaray in a transfer worth 45 million euros.
Sky Sport reports that the clubs have finalised an agreement, with the Turkish champions paying 43 million euros up front plus 2 million euros in add-ons, and Milan retaining 20% of profit on any future sale.
Leao had initially prioritised the Premier League. Aston Villa came closest, proposing a verbal package worth 7.5 million euros per year, but the club never lodged a formal bid and the terms fell short of his demands.
Galatasaray kept improving their proposal and sold him on an ambitious project, ultimately winning his approval. He will sign a contract to 2030 worth 10 million euros a year plus bonuses.
Only the medical and final paperwork remain before completion. The move closes his Milan chapter and opens a new one in Istanbul, and it ranks among the biggest deals in the Turkish league, a clear statement of intent from Galatasaray.
