Palmeiras are seeking a new shirt sponsor across their men’s, women’s and academy teams following the termination of their deal with Fictor. According to Nosso Palestra, Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor has expressed interest in partnering with the club.

The company, newly arrived in Brazil, has in recent days sought to understand the club’s financial terms and priorities before progressing talks.

Leapmotor said it does not comment on rumours and speculation. Palmeiras said it is looking for new partners and has held discussions with several companies about associating their brands with the club.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor develops intelligent electrified vehicles built on its own technology. Founder Zhu Jiangming is an electrical engineer with more than 30 years of technical experience, and the company is based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China.

Its operations span vehicle design, research and development, manufacturing, intelligent driving, electric motor control, battery system development and cloud-based vehicle networking solutions.

In Brazil, the brand was officially launched in November 2025 and is a member of Stellantis, the automotive group that includes Fiat, Jeep, Ram, Citroën and Peugeot.
