Lederhosen photo shoot at Paulaner: Looking sharp in traditional costume and ready for the 2026 Wiesn | OneFootball

Just under four weeks to go – then it’ll once again be time to say “O’zapft is!” at the Munich Oktoberfest. However, the FC Bayern players have already enjoyed getting into Wiesn mode ahead of the official barrel tapping ceremony on 19 September 2026. On Monday, the German double winners' annual traditional lederhosen photo shoot took place with partner Paulaner at Munich’s Nockherberg, and for the occasion, championship-winning coach Vincent Kompany's side swapped their team jerseys for traditional Bavarian costume. Some members of the women’s team were also in attendance; Giulia Gwinn and several of her teammates from the double-winning squad showed up specially dressed in elegant dirndls.

Partner Paulaner invited the FC Bayern men's team, including new signings Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, to the annual Lederhosen photo shoot.

Two days after their 2–1 triumph in the Supercup in Dortmund, everyone cut a fine figure, with Harry Kane and Co. looking sharp as they posed for the photographers and camera crews in their traditional attire. It was, of course, a particularly special occasion for new signings Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, who clearly felt very comfortable in their lederhosen, Janker jackets and Haferl shoes. Germany international Brown said: “Lederhosen suit me perfectly. As a native Bavarian, I’ve naturally been to the Wiesn before and so I know it’s a really important festival for Bavaria. I’m really looking forward to the traditional Oktoberfest visit with my new teammates.”

And the Moroccan attacking maestro Saibari added: “It’s the first time I’ve worn this beautiful traditional costume with lederhosen, and I’m really looking forward to visiting the Wiesn with the whole team. One thing is very important to me: I’m keen to get to know the culture of the city and the country where I play football.”
