Lee Grant says he does not expect Walsall to do much more business this summer, although the club remain open if the right opportunity emerges, according to ExpressAndStar.com.
Walsall have already reshaped the squad, with 12 arrivals and 14 departures since the end of last season.
There were 11 competitive debuts in last week’s 1-0 Carabao Cup win at Bristol City.
Grant is content with the group assembled but will not rule out further movement. He noted the heavy churn across League One and League Two and said there could be ins and outs, while stressing most of the work is done.
He added that any addition would need to be available, fit the budget and make a significant difference. If that is not the case, the club have no problem doing nothing.
Roman Dixon, the former Everton right-back, became the latest signing on Tuesday and the ninth on a permanent deal this summer. Grant said the volume of permanent signings is helping to keep the group settled, and he wants the right characters with a point to prove who aim for the division above or to accelerate their careers.
