Leeds United have reached an agreement to sign ex-Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer.
Calvert-Lewin has been without a club since deciding to leave Everton at the expiration of his contract last month.
The 28-year-old has been linked with several Premier League teams but The Athletic are reporting that he is now set to undergo a medical with Leeds ahead of completing a move to Elland Road.
Calvert-Lewin will bolster the attacking options of the newly-promoted side, alongside fellow recruit Lukas Nmecha and last season’s leading scorer, Joel Piroe.
The former scored 71 goals in 274 appearances across nine seasons at Everton and has netted four times in 11 caps for England. However, Calvert-Lewin has been plagued by fitness issues in recent seasons and has not been capped internationally since 2021.
A move to Leeds will see the Sheffield-born striker return to Yorkshire. He came through the academy ranks at Sheffield United before a £1.5m move to Everton in 2016.
