Daniel Farke offered an upbeat assessment of Leeds United’s fitness before Saturday’s Brentford visit, with a more encouraging Noah Okafor update, though Gabriel Gudmundsson is ruled out.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Okafor had been out since mid-February, returned to training last week, then suffered a minor setback that kept him out against Crystal Palace, but the outlook has improved before Brentford.
Leeds host Keith Andrews’ Brentford at Elland Road under the lights on Saturday, a win would move them six points clear of relegation for the night.
Brentford also had a fresh potential injury concern in Monday’s draw with Wolves.
Long-term absentees include Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo, both out for the season after anterior cruciate ligament surgery in November.
Josh Dasilva is working back from ACL surgery and two further operations late last season, he has resumed some first-team training this month and is being carefully managed.
Rico Henry faces numerous weeks out with a hamstring issue, as Andrews said earlier this month, and he is not expected back soon.
Aaron Hickey suffered a hamstring injury against Brighton last month and is expected to be sidelined until after the international break.
Vitaly Janelt is another certain absentee, a metatarsal problem from the Brighton game is expected to keep him out until after the international break.
