Fulham and Leeds United are among the clubs linked with a move for Republic of Ireland striker Troy Parrott.
The 23-year-old is having a stand-out season for club and country having been essential to the Republic of Ireland reaching the World Cup qualification play-offs.
At club level, the former Tottenham Hotspur youth player has been among the goals at AZ, scoring 19 in 25 in all competitions – including a hat-trick against Ajax in the cup last week.
Naturally, Parrott's performances have seen him linked to numerous clubs including Real Betis and Wolfsburg.
Closer to home, Leeds United and Fulham are said to be keen but it is the Cottagers who are 'leading the race' according to journalist Miguel Delany of The Independent.
Wolfsburg are said to have wanted to pay around €20 million for the striker but an improved bid will be needed to complete the transfer.
