Leeds United have had two bids rejected for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles and could now turn to alternatives. According to Leeds Live, United went up to £23m for the 22-year-old, and it has been claimed their pursuit has ended.
The push points to Daniel Farke seeking reinforcements in midfield, though Leeds appear unwilling to overpay for a player with only 37 Premier League minutes. Gazzetta dello Sport reports negotiations have begun for Parma’s Mandela Keita, valued at about €30m.
Daichi Kamada is technically a free agent after a two-year deal at Crystal Palace, and he has been offered new terms. He might re-sign, but remains unsigned for now, and his Premier League record makes him a plug-in option for top-flight squads.
Jordan James impressed on loan at Leicester City from Rennes, scoring 11 as a No. 8 or No. 10 and taking the Championship Young Player of the Year award. Ouest France claims Rennes want €15m, with Crystal Palace linked around £10m and West Ham also interested.
Nottingham Forest made two deadline-day offers for Celtic’s Arne Engels in January, but the champions held firm. The 22-year-old has 17 goals and 21 assists from 98 appearances since joining in 2024, and with two years left he is drawing interest from Sunderland, Forest, Torino and Roma.
