Leeds United ended their Premier League season with a 3-0 defeat at relegated West Ham United, wilting in the London Stadium heat.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke called it a "game too far" without key players. The away end kept it light, listing West Ham’s 2026/27 opponents and applauding the squad at the whistle.

Jaka Bijol was Leeds’ standout and left at 1-0. West Ham scored from a corner as Joe Rodon failed to rise.

Brenden Aaronson struggled, often turning back instead of shooting and producing tame efforts. He also lost a 50:50 with Crysencio Summerville as a promising move fizzled.

Leeds missed the chance to climb, a win might have taken them to 12th, instead they finished 14th.

Off camera, Hammers fan Darren Emmerson DJed the warm-up, and the announcer tried to spark cheers for his half-time set. Leeds fans joined a memorial applause, Billy Bonds’ image drew the loudest response.

Before kick-off Ampadu and referee Anthony Taylor shared a brief embrace, though tempers later flared after a decision went against Leeds. Ampadu checked on Summerville after a collision, and post-match Struijk sought out his ex-team-mate to offer support.

Some home supporters met both of West Ham’s first two goals with anger for the board and David Sullivan. As they left, two young Hammers chanted "no VAR", anticipating the Championship.
