Leeds boost as James Trafford and Noah Okafor involved for Man United friendly in Dublin | OneFootball

James Trafford and Noah Okafor are involved as Leeds United face Manchester United at Croke Park on Wednesday night, with all 82,000 tickets sold and the friendly live on ITV1.

According to Leedsunited.news, Daniel Farke’s side have landed in Dublin to meet Michael Carrick’s team.

United were already in Ireland on a training camp, having otherwise remained at Carrington throughout pre-season. Leeds contested the Premier League Summer Series in America, beating Liverpool and Sunderland to win the competition despite a 3-2 loss to Wrexham. On Saturday they beat RB Leipzig 2-0 over 120 minutes at Elland Road.

Leeds have confirmed the club-record signing of Trafford from Man City. With Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier leaving the club, Alex Cairns has started three of four friendlies so far.

Images of the squad’s arrival included both Trafford and Okafor. With less than a fortnight until the Premier League opener at Nottingham Forest on 22 August, Farke is likely to field something close to his strongest side.

Trafford will almost certainly start between the posts, while Okafor will almost certainly get minutes, even if he does not begin. Gabi Gudmundsson is out injured and Sebastiaan Bornauw might be absent with a move to Hamburg due this week.
