A Leeds United supporters' group has voiced disappointment at a small minority at Wembley after the 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea and reports of homophobic chanting.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Metropolitan Police said 14 arrests were made for various offences, and a further 16 Leeds supporters could face prosecution over homophobic chanting. The 'rent boy' chant has been made a criminal offence and is deemed a homophobic slur.

Chelsea Pride criticised what they believe was a lack of police action before, during and after the game, saying the chant was repeatedly heard at Wembley Park station, Wembley Way and Empire Way. They alleged officers witnessed it and did not intervene, even when it was reported as a hate crime.

Marching Out Together said they were disappointed, stressed it involved only a few individuals and said such behaviour has no place in football or communities. They added that everyone should feel safe and included, and that rivalry must not become discrimination.

The group said they have again offered their support to Leeds United on the issue and will continue to work with the club and football authorities where needed.

The day also saw repeated Jimmy Savile chants from Chelsea supporters. Leeds United have previously urged the Crown Prosecution Service and football authorities to class such songs as tragedy chanting and a public order offence, in line with chants about the Munich air disaster or the murders of two Leeds fans, Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, in Istanbul.
