Leeds United are in talks with Fiorentina over a move for Jack Harrison, with January business expected to be modest.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds anticipate one or two additions at most if priority targets can be landed, with attackers the focus despite hopes Sebastiaan Bornauw’s adductor issue is minor. Interest in Union Berlin centre-back Danilho Doekhi has not progressed beyond initial checks.
A loan with a view to a permanent is possible and there is confidence at Elland Road that an agreement could be reached to end Harrison’s Leeds stint.
Fiorentina are third from bottom after two wins in 20 league games.
Harrison has had one minute in Leeds’ last 10 Premier League outings, eight as an unused substitute and he missed the Aston Villa game. He has one start and nine substitute appearances in the league without a goal or assist.
Noah Okafor’s arrival pushed him down the pecking order, while Farke’s back three has suited Gabriel Gudmundsson. Given a rare FA Cup start at Derby County, he was wayward with 10 crosses, creating danger once in a 3-1 win.
Elsewhere, no other exits are currently expected. There has been no real interest in Illan Meslier, and while Joel Piroe has suitors at home and abroad, the club are not pushing a sale and believe he wants to stay.
