Burnley struggled to find a way back into the contest before the break and Zian Flemming got in the way of Jaidon Anthony's goal-bound header to sum up a difficult half for the Clarets.

Leeds hit Burnley with another early strike in the second period with a well-worked goal as Jayden Bogle's cross picked out Noah Okafor, who volleyed past Martin Dubravka.

Four minutes later, Leeds wrapped up the victory when Dubravka parried Ao Tanaka's shot straight into Dominic Calvert-Lewin's path and the Whites' forward tucked in from close-range.

Burnley did pull a goal back with 20 minutes remaining as Loum Tchaouna was given space to drive at the Leeds backline and fired past Karl Darlow.

That late goal was just as consolation and Leeds closed out an important victory that takes them nine points clear of the Premier League's bottom three, while Burnley suffer defeat in Michael Jackson's first game as interim boss.
